The Power of Positive Thinking!

The power of positive thinking. When you’re dealing with what life throws at you, whether it be psoriasis, depression, anxiety, weight, etc. it’s easy to start negative self talk. “Why does this have to happen to me.”, “I’m so fat”, “No one is going to want to be with me because of (x,y,& z).” STOP! Stop all the negative self talk. Once you start, you actually convince yourself it’s true, therefore it is true! It’s not going to happen over night but start changing the way you think and talk about yourself. Taking a negative “I’m so fat”, turning it into, “I will start going to the gym, so I have more energy.” Each time you have a negative thought, acknowledge it, let it go, and replace it with something positive! You may have struggles you’re dealing with, and things you didn’t “chose to have” but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re dealing with it. Don’t let it define you! Stop making excuses, and take charge of your life, instead of it taking charge of you! Chose to be happy, and love the life you’ve been given. I used to negative self talk about my skin all the time! I never asked to have psoriasis, and other auto immune “diseases” but it doesn’t change the fact that I have them! I’ve CHOSEN to not let it define me. I’ve CHOSEN to love my life, and I’m on a journey to help others love their life as well! Maybe if we start being more kind to ourselves, we can start being more kind to others. There’s a quote I came across that really stuck with me that I’m going to share with you. I hope this resonates with you, the same way it did for me.

“I will take care of me for you, If you will take care of you for me.” -Jim Rohn
